STIM300 selected for precision Surface Navigator and True North Finding System by iMAR

Press release

iMAR has selected the STIM300 high precision IMU as the core inertial engine to provide accurate inertial data for its new precision surface navigator and True North Finding Systems. The systems are in regular production and is being deployed in mission critical user applications.

The STIM300 provides high accuracy inertial data for the iMAR iNAT-M200 Inertial Navigation System and for the iATTHEMO-C High Precision Heading, Attitude, Position & Velocity Reference.

The multiband GNSS systems have been through extensive testing and qualifications and are now in regular production already in use with several international customers. The robust, compact and lightweight system at 750 grams provides high accuracy real-time data with a data update rate of up to 500 Hz. With focus on cost, weight and lifetime reliability the iATTHEMO-C is an excellent option to provide Attitude, Heading and Motion measurements for many surface, airborne, naval and automotive applications (best condition heading accuracy < 0.05 ° rms).

STIM300 is a small, lightweight and low power, ITAR free high performance Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) with 3 gyros, 3 accelerometers and 3 inclinometers. The STIM300 IMU is closing the performance gap to FOG (fiber optic gyro) and it is a powerful alternative to current solutions in the market. STIM300 is today implemented in applications like UAVs, satellites, man and vehicle portable target acquisition systems, land navigations systems, turret stabilization, missile stability and navigation, and mortar aiming systems just to mention a few. STIM300 has been in regular production since 2011 and is part of the STIM gyro and IMU family that has fielded more than 40 000 high performance gyros.
