Design prize for the Patented and World's First Physiological Transducer, AE840, using a Disposable Dome

Research on Micromachined Pressure Sensors

Market release of AE880 Micromachined Pressure Sensor

Spun off from AME and founding of SensoNor AS

First production contract for S64a Crash Sensors

1988

Production start of SP80 Pressure Sensor for demanding aircraft applications in engine and air data controls

1989

Development start of Low-Cost Crash Sensor

SensoNor becomes sole owner of Wafer Fab

1991

Successful demonstration of world's first Fiber Optical resonating sensor for oil Well pressure and temperature Monitoring (FOWM)

1992

Production start of SA20 Low-Cost Crash Sensor

Listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange

20 million SA20 crash sensors delivered

Production start of SP13 Tyre Pressure Sensor

Prototypes Rate Gyro, and 4th generation accelerometers, 1 and 2 axis

Acquired 100% by Infineon Technologies AG

Split from Infineon Technologies AG and founding of Sensonor Technologies AS

Production start of the High Performance Gyro Module STIM202 & STIM210

2011

Introduction of the Inertial Measurement Unit STIM300

2012

Founding of Sensonor AS with ownership by a Swiss based Investment group

2012

STIM202 launched into space on October 13th  as part of the AeroCube-4 by NASA and the Aerospace Corporation

2013

STIM210 launched into space on SkySat-1 to become part of the first commercial Earth observation constellation uniquely built for video from space

2017

60 000 tactical grade MEMS gyros delivered since the introduction of the STIM family of gyro and IMU modules

2019

Sensonor launches STIM318, a new high-accuracy tactical grade IMU. Special focus towards autonomous machine control for accurate contour guidance, and GNSS denied navigation

100 000 tactical grade MEMS gyros delivered since the introduction of the STIM family of gyro and IMU modules

2020

Sensonor Launches Hermetic Space-Dedicated Gyro and IMU Modules, STIM277H and STIM377H, tested for 20+ years’ operating life

2021
